Scavenger Local Clearance Research and Sources
Scavenger’s clearance research separates stored product leads, historical gallery entries, provider terms and manufacturer specifications. Each page identifies what its number measures and what remains unverified.
What did the public product snapshot measure?
On October 13, 2026 Pacific time, twelve selected metropolitan ZIP checks returned 600 product-store records across 126 store locations. The public onboarding endpoint caps results at 50 per request and deliberately mixes penny and ordinary-clearance leads. These totals describe the sample, not database inventory or a nationwide penny rate.
A penny flag controls the displayed one-cent candidate amount. It is not an independent register-price check. Observation age is calculated from the stored timestamp to capture time; it does not establish remaining shelf stock or availability duration.
How were exact product and store comparisons checked?
A richer public preview returned 156 rows from 26 successful store requests, with retailer SKUs, prices and recorded quantities. Other requests timed out. The preview selects up to six leads per request; its estimated checked-SKU total was excluded. Stored prices, reference amounts and quantities were not independently verified at checkout or on a shelf.
Which evidence comes from other sources?
Provider membership terms, a dated Whop rating distribution, manufacturer package and foundation specifications, and historical Christmas deal reports are identified by source. Historical offers are not current inventory. Marketplace ratings are not representative satisfaction surveys. Gallery entries are published CMS records; this research could not retrieve the receipt media for independent authentication.
What does the price recheck establish?
Two retrievals of the same drill SKU and store were 7.57 minutes apart and both returned $37.25. The response omits the underlying price-observation time. Both retrievals may expose the same unchanged backend observation; they cannot establish markdown frequency or a multi-day price history.
These are bounded snapshots. Use the retailer’s current exact-product lookup or ask the selling store to verify the price and sale status before a trip.
Which exact stored observations support the price comparison?
The October 13, 2026 public preview returned the drill SKU 619936 in store #6365 at $37.25 and store #0910 at $42.25, a $5.00 difference. The records listed quantities of two and zero. These are stored lead fields, not shelf or checkout checks.
| Product / store | Record ID | Retrieved price / quantity |
|---|---|---|
| Drill SKU 619936 / #6365 | 45495462 | $37.25 / 2 |
| Drill SKU 619936 / #0910 | 45261949 | $42.25 / 0 |
The first store’s record returned $37.25 at 00:53:55.727 UTC and 01:01:29.861 UTC on October 14, 2026 (October 13 Pacific), 7.57 minutes apart. Neither response exposed a new underlying price-observation timestamp. The snapshots are retained in Scavenger’s editorial research records.
